Watering season is over
Denver Water's board ruled that lawn watering and all spray irrigation must stop after Sept. 30, 2026. Willows Water District set the same date. There's no reason left to keep your system charged.1
Denver's average first freeze is October 7. Pick your neighborhood's route day, we text you an arrival window, and every zone gets blown out before the cold gets to it. From $100 for 1 to 4 zones, and you see your price before we book.
Most years you could wait for the first cold snap. This year the season ended early, and a system that's off is just a pipe full of standing water.

That's the average. The National Weather Service has recorded a first freeze as early as September 8. One clear, cold night is all it takes for exposed parts.2
Pipes, valves and your backflow preventer don't grow with it. A $100 visit now beats a $400 to $800 backflow replacement in April.3
Nothing looks wrong in December. The crack sits underground until spring start-up, when a zone won't build pressure or a geyser shows up by the driveway. The fix then is digging, parts and labor. The fix now is about half an hour with a compressor.
Most residential blowouts take 30 to 45 minutes.4

No phone tag, no "we'll call you back next week."
Our trucks work one area at a time. Choose the route day for your part of town and tell us roughly how many zones you have.
A real person from our office texts you to confirm, then sends your arrival window before we come. Need to change it? Just text back.
We shut off the supply, drain down and blow out every zone with compressed air. You get a text when we're finished, plus anything we noticed that needs attention in spring.
Grouping stops by area is how we keep the price fair and still show up on time. Find your area, grab a spot before the day fills.
Route days fill in order. Don't see your town? Book anyway and pick "Other". If we can reach you, we'll text you a day.
Priced by how many zones you have. Not sure how many? Pick "not sure" and we count on site. You'll know your tier before we start.

I called a bunch of sprinkler companies and Sunlight Sprinkler were the only ones that answered and they came right out and fixed my problem.

Spoke with Chassidy on a Monday and Shane came out the next day to address my sprinkler issue. He was able to take care of the problem in a short time and explained everything in detail.

Shane Plummer has spent 26+ years in Colorado irrigation, from neighborhood yards to Castle Pines Golf Club and the Denver Art Museum. The people who blow out your system are the ones who turn it back on in spring.
I have been in the lawn care business for 40 years and have used Sunlight Sprinkler for our customer's sprinkler system's repair, winterization and spring start-up for the last 5 years. They are always reliable and professional.

Now. Denver Water ended the 2026 lawn-watering season on October 1, so systems are sitting idle with water in the lines, and Denver's average first freeze is October 7. Book before the first hard freeze, not after it.
$100 for 1 to 4 zones, $110 for 5 to 8, $120 for 9 to 16. Maintenance plan members pay $95 to $115. Systems with 17 or more zones get a custom quote. Additional backflow assemblies are $20 each.
Water supply shutoff, drain down, a compressed-air blowout of every zone, and recommendations for anything that needs attention before spring.
Tell us in the notes how we get to your shutoff, backflow and controller (gate code, garage, side yard). We'll confirm what we need from you when we text your arrival window.
Most residential systems take 30 to 45 minutes. Larger systems take longer.
A small home compressor usually can't move enough air to clear a full zone, so water gets left behind. Too much pressure can crack heads and fittings. Our trucks carry commercial compressors sized for the job.
We tell you and quote it before any work happens. Repairs are $115 per technician hour plus parts ($110 for plan members), and nothing gets done without your OK.
Denver Water has said sprinklers need to stay off in spring 2027, pending an official resolution. We'll text our customers as soon as the rule is set, so you'll know before you need to book a start-up.
Grab your route day now, and you won't think about your sprinklers again until spring.
